Lady Gaga performs at Europride in Rome.

Say what you want about her, love her music or hate it, but Gaga’s speech and performance at Europride in Rome almost brought a tear to MY eye. One thing that really does put my knickers in a twist is when people accuse Gaga of only supporting the gay community to help further her career. I just don’t see that, I see a woman who may in fact be one of the most influencial people to help bring mass-media attention to the plee for equal rights of the LGBT community all over the world. Gaga’s fashion, music, influences, personality, career choices, are all things that are up for debate in my opinion, but not her unwavering love and support for the community. That’s something I will eternally love her for.
