Nicola Roberts - Porcelain Heart.

The underdog of Girls Aloud is about to show them all up, and I’m just loving it. While people are going quite mad for the brilliant Dimitri Tikovoi and Diplo-produced first single “Beat of My Drum,” it’s the b-side to the single that I’m obsessed with. If the quality of her whole album is as great as these two songs are, we have a lot to be excited about.

While “Beat of my Drum” reminds me of the quirky alt-pop that Florrie and Annie are known for, “Porcelain Heart” reminds me of the sophistication and electronic beauty of Sophie Ellis-Bextor. The final chorus that launches with “porcelain HEAAAAAAAART” gives me goosebumps. 

Her full album “Cinderella’s Eyes” is due to be released early fall. Lets hope for no set backs.
