Notes &
Florrie - Begging Me.
I know I’m kind of late on this, but I love the new Florrie song and just downloaded it yesterday, finally gave it a few good listens today. It’s breezy, cheery, and goes perfectly with spring. It was produced by her previous collaborators in Xenomania, who are amazing. It’s hard not to draw comparisons to the wonderful Annie, who also works with Xenomania and has a very similar voice. Each have their own cheeky sense of fun/melancholy pop though.
It’s the first Florrie song that hasn’t been offered for free, so please go to her iTunes and support her if you like it. Another first for her is that there’s a proper accompanying video, directed by Price James, and it’s okay. It doesn’t really feel to me that videos for Florrie are necessary at this point, but still a nice effort.
Her last EP “Introduction” (which I wrote about here) was really great, and is still available for free on her site. Her second EP still seems to be untitled, but is due to be released sometime this month.
